The effect is more long lasting rather than short lasting. It is useful for concentration and study. It avoids the negative effects of caffeine and theine. I don't recommend it for sleep attacks. Better other products with heavy immediate effect. I never drink tea and coffee. If you drink tea and or coffee regularly consider larger doses
