What is Nattokinase and why use it

NattoKinase 2000FUs from EssentialSeries is a dietary supplement in delayed-release vegetable capsules made from the pure enzyme naturally produced by Lactobacillus that ferment soy to create natto, called Nattokinase, with thiamine.
Nattokinase is a protein naturally produced when soy is fermented. Fermented soy foods are common in many Asian regions, with the most well-known in the West being Tempeh and Natto. Nattokinase gets its name from natto, where it was first found.
Nattokinase 2000 FUs is made exclusively from natto produced with soy certified as 100% free of Genetically Modified Organisms, a hugely important factor when considering soy as a quality product.
Why is HSN’s Nattokinase 2000FUs unique?
Nattokinase is an enzyme practically found only in soybeans fermented with food-grade bacteria: Lactobacillus.
Of course, it can be produced from sources treated with Genetically Modified Organisms, and it could be chemically synthesized, but at HSN we prefer to get our compounds from natural sources like soy extract.
You’re looking at a top-quality product of completely natural origin.
Guaranteed content. 100% pure with no traces of origin
Our Nattokinase is certified and tested as free from starting soy, and in our latest raw material upgrade we’ve even eliminated allergen traces from the source, so it contains no soy compounds.
This means our high-activity Nattokinase is pure, even though it comes from a natural source, we’ve isolated the enzyme from soy extract to the max to provide a high concentration per extract unit, with guaranteed high quality and activity.
Still, Nattokinase is not suitable for people allergic to soy.
100% GMO-free. Both in the enzyme and the original soy
Did you know that over 90% of soy grown worldwide contains genetically modified organisms?
At HSN we don’t want to use GMOs just to use cheaper raw materials, and of course, we’re committed to using quality raw materials. We recommend checking out our strategies at the following link.
For all these reasons, we’ve chosen to use extract from soybeans certified as 100% GMO-free in cultivation and production.
We’re the exception that proves quality! Trust HSN for your daily dietary supplementation.
Natural origin. Extract from optimally grown soy
The soy used has been grown considering all aspects needed to get the best possible quality harvest. A warm environment was maintained with temperatures between 20 and 30ºC, with mixed indoor/outdoor growth as needed.
The cultivated soil is alluvium with high organic content, optimal for growing top-quality soy.
At HSN we control the production process of our raw materials from the very start.
Made from natto fermented under controlled conditions with certified safety
Natto is a food made from soybeans fermented in controlled environments with the probiotic (food-grade) bacterium Bacillus subtilis.
This production method dates back to Buddhist times, when monks developed this fermentation system to consume soy longer and with added nutritional benefits.
The natto production process is delicate and must be closely controlled to ensure not only its quality (and that the Nattokinase it produces is functional) but also its safety (and that no secondary reproduction of Lactobacillus natto occurs).
The quality of HSN’s natto used for extraction and subsequent isolation of naturally produced Nattokinase is supreme; it’s natto generated from inoculation, fermentation, and refrigeration of soy following quality and safety criteria firmly established by the world’s most reputable food science researchers.
High fibrinolytic activity: 2000 Fibrinolytic Units (FU) per capsule
The amount of Nattokinase in natto varies, ranging from 1400 FUs per serving up to 2000 Fibrin Degradation Units.
A serving of natto is about 50–100 g, and that amount is significant, making it extremely hard to consume for people not used to fermented soy since it has a strong, challenging flavor.
HSN’s Nattokinase enzyme provides the daily fibrinolytic activity amount of this enzyme in just one capsule — it doesn’t get more convenient than this!
Of course, it doesn’t have natto’s taste or smell, which is great for people who don’t enjoy fermented soy; and the amount of Nattokinase provided equals consuming almost 100 g of high-quality natto (possibly more if cultivation and fermentation conditions aren’t optimized) according to research from the Japanese scientific journal 'Food Science'.
HSN delivers high-concentration Nattokinase with guaranteed high fibrinolytic activity.
With thiamine, an essential vitamin with synergistic activity. The best formula at HSN!
Thiamine, also known as vitamin B1, is an essential water-soluble nutrient, especially found in meats, fish, and dairy. This vitamin is nutritionally indispensable, meaning it must be consumed in sufficient amounts through diet to avoid deficiency that risks health.
HSN’s Nattokinase contains a significant amount of vitamin B1 because it has synergistic activity important for product development, notably supporting normal heart function.
This vitamin makes Nattokinase an ideal supplement for cardiovascular system function. Try it and see for yourself!
Unique properties of HSN’s formula

Nattokinase has been used for centuries by followers of the Buddhist religion.
Over time, natto consumption spread throughout Asia to become a common food, considered a staple often found in the daily diet of Japanese or Korean people.
Many researchers have shown interest in natto’s association with beneficial properties, attributing these to Nattokinase, though research is still ongoing:

This supplement is ideal for people looking after cardiovascular health, as its thiamine content helps normal heart function.
Is this supplement for me?
Nattokinase is an important enzyme rarely found in Western diets, practically nonexistent except in select circles consuming Eastern fermented products.
