It has many more calories than supermarket dulce de leche, which contains 300 or so kcal per 100 grams. However, the supermarket one is all sugar and causes an insulin spike and this one has protein, so it will feed your muscles and give you a feeling of satiety. You shouldn't just look at the calories, the most important thing is the nutrients. Quite sweet, but that's what makes it so appetizing.

Contudo, o do supermercado é só açúcar e causa um pico de insulina e este tem proteína, pelo que vai alimentar os músculos e dar uma sensação de saciedade. Obviously I didn't expect the cream to taste exactly like the original dulce de leche, but I have to say that the flavor is very good, although the texture is a bit like if it was made with powder. Mixed with something else it's great.
